QuickCal - The natural language calendar for iOS App Reviews

Rock solid after update

I use this almost every day now that I have updated to the current version. I find that it loads almost twice as fast as its main competitor under identical conditions and with the same calendars. The interface is more barebones functional and less artsy than the main competition, but QuickCals advantage is that it is quick and always works. Thats the main thing I care about. Nice job.

Wow.

I was making everything so complicate at first trying to tap the words name date time and location as if it was going to do anything and then just said F it and typed in the time and bam, and then the @sign with the location and it inspired it. Crazy! Its so easy to use now that I dumbed myself down a little, its replacing the calander app! This is great, I really needed something like this, thanks!!

Fantastic

Update: Would love a setting to toggle the "@" or "location" indicator on and off - I usually include info like "@ Name of Restaurant" or "@ So and Sos House" in the event title and would rather save the *address* in the location field, not have "Name of Restaurant" or "So and Sos House" in the location field. Would also be nice if the various calendars (google, iCloud, and contact birthdays) were categorized separately in the settings. My google "Work" calendar (used) and iCloud "Work" calendar (unused) are indistinguishable, and I had to rename my google "Birthdays" calendar because, with the same name, I couldnt turn off contact "Birthdays" within the app without both toggling together. --------- I never use the default calendar app anymore - this and Week Cal are my go-tos, depending on what I want to do. Contrary to a review below, it DOES sync with my google calendar - I already had the default calendar app set to sync with google, and QuickCal syncs with the default app and then to google fine in my experience. It isnt *instant* to the web version, but it syncs to other calendar apps on my phone instantly. This isnt my preferred calendar-viewer (thats Week Cal), but definitely my preferred way of quickly entering new appointments or reminders. I use the two apps about equally, and the combo is a vast improvement from the default calendar. Id love it if there were a way to occasionally override the smart reminders (which are customizable and pretty good) while entering text - such as "r 4hours, r 15min" - but its a minor feature wish!

Amazing app, makes life so much easier

I use this app every day. Its incredible. Id give it 5 stars if contact and map integration were added.

Great!

Does a great job parsing natural language input of events and adding to the calendar. Plus its really fast!

My Quickest Calendar - good updates

Performs as described and runs smoothly over a few weeks use. I like the UI better than many other calendars, but the SIMPLE Work/Home INDIVIDUAL CALENDAR VIEW SWITCHING was THE biggest plus. I can tap the top calendar name (w/ the color indicator dot) to quickly see just ONE of my calendar entries (work, home, etc) at a time. So, for a fast and clear view this calendar outshines all the others I tested (7). For a more complex and slower schedule view I also use another app with a fancy tasks feature built in. =RECOMMENDED= I have an iDevice running iOS 6.1+ Feedback for developer: If "Birthdays" calendar could *also* be shown separately using the tap gesture youd have a 5-Star app!

Automatically changes alarm

I have been using this calendar for several months and I loved it. It is very easy to add appointments. The problem: This is not at all reliable or consistent. For the last 2 months it has been automatically changing the reminder alarms that I have set. It will remind me of an event 6 days and 12 hours before it is supposed to (or some other random time like that) or not be set for an alarm at all.
